The Kelowna & District Genealogical Society’s Central Okanagan Obituaries Project is full steam ahead thanks to a City of Kelowna Cultural Grant!
Our team of dedicated volunteers are indexing, scanning and making available the obituaries of Indigenous peoples, historical figures, and recent residents of the Central Okanagan.
Check out our current index at: http://wordpress-i0scs8s4404w8s448048c8wg.82.180.133.192.sslip.io/obituary-listings/ and watch for an announcement this May when you can search the entire growing database yourself.
In the meantime, see the request form at the bottom of the above page or email obits@kdgs.ca to request an obituary. There is a $10 fee for non-members of KDGS.

There are well over 18,000 obituaries indexed and available from the Kelowna & District Genealogical Society and the number is growing as work continues on indexing and image scanning. A small ‘army’ of Society members has been busy inputting details into the database, proofing the data and scanning obituaries.
Much work is still required, so if you would like to help the committee, obits@kdgs.ca.
Search by Last Name using the following alphabetical listings. We have also indexed the names mentioned in the obituary and can be searched in the alphabetical listings. You can request a copy on an obituary by using our form below (please copy the card reference number.)
For assistance, email obits@kdgs.ca.
Obituaries are free for Society members and $10 each for non-members.
